Great place for the family.

The kiosk and snack bar has a new tenant, it was reopened on 05/17/23. As we were told, it should now be open every day. In any case, we liked the bratwurst and shandy.

The kiosk was closed in April 2023.

Always nice to take a break here at the pond.

If the lake is the goal of a tour, don't forget your towel! The lake is located in the flow area of the Saale, which is fed directly nearby from the mountain water of the Hils. The water quality is correspondingly good.

The area around the lake is currently being redesigned for flood protection. The water level has dropped, but the trail can still be walked on. At the moment, the "high" bank looks a bit desolate, but the vegetation will certainly beautify it again soon.

The kiosk is currently an impertinence: yeast-wheat was only available alcohol-free with a sell-by date that had expired two months ago for €4.5. The boats cost 30€ per hour. The tenant prohibits the use of own boats, kayaks and SUPs. But it's probably nonsense if you don't go into the water from your premises. The consequences of these kindnesses can be seen. Hardly any visitors on Father's Day and not a single boat was used.

There is a circular path around the Bruchsee a little from the shore that you can cycle. A narrow hiking trail leads directly along the shore, is not so easy to cycle on, should be left to the hikers.
