The forest area of the Loccum Monastery (approx. 650 ha) is located about ten kilometers west of Lake Steinhude and comprises six sub-areas (forest locations) of different sizes. I love this path coming along here from the pointed arch gate, past the pilgrim house to the southern outbuildings of the monastery. At the pond you can watch the ducks or admire the reflection of the trees and buildings. An oasis of peace!
