On the Sauberge ridge path, there are always beautiful views of the wide landscape.

Steep climb, made more difficult by the asphalt, which is sometimes no longer passable. The dwindling tree population does not make it any easier in strong winds.

And people who are afraid that the steps will break. The steps are very old but still hold up. But the view at the top makes up for that.

Swings in strong winds, so not for people with a fear of heights.

Narrow but easy to walk path. Sometimes a little overgrown, but always easy to see, in some places clear-cutting provides good views to the north

Really steep climbs that you can concentrate on. Almost no traffic. The road is not in the best condition, though, which is less of a problem going up than going down. Good braking power is an advantage.

In the course of the route there are incline ramps with values of around 12-14%. Unfortunately, the forest and asphalt have suffered quite a bit. Especially in the upper third, the forest is pretty bare and the asphalt is riddled with cracks and holes. Be careful on the descent!

The tower is not easy to reach, the climb is huge, also because the forest paths are not so good. However, once you have reached the tower and climbed it, you will be rewarded with a great view. The tower is made of steel, but the steps are made of wood and this is getting quite old.
