      If there is a change in the weather at the top of the tower, the nearby shelter might be a good place to stay dry... ;-)
      Otherwise the point of view is not so attractive.

        And people who are afraid that the steps will break. The steps are very old but still hold up. But the view at the top makes up for that.

            The Kabus Tower stands on the 282 meter high Welfenhöhe and the viewing platform is 17 meters high. The steel parts of the tower come from a cable car that led from shaft 3 to shaft 1 at Potash and Salt in the early 1950s. The tower was climbed for the first time on May 21, 1956.

                There is a beautiful view from the tower. The steps don't look as fresh as they used to but they still hold up (you've seen so many horror films). The view makes it worth the effort to climb.

                    Anyone who should visit this tower should do so as soon as possible - the wood is in poor condition and one of the stairs below is no longer anchored to the next level.
                    I am assuming that the tower will certainly soon be closed due to dilapidation and urgently needed restoration work.
