Older but still good hut.

The Harzklub branch runs the Ohe Hut on the beautiful grounds of the Ohe (Nauer Berg). The Ohe Hut is open to members and guests every 2nd Sunday of the month. When the weather is nice, you can drink coffee and eat homemade cake on the benches and tables outside. A shelter that serves as shelter in bad weather was created by the club's children's and youth dance group.

Easy to miss when looking at the rocks

On the area map in the hut you will find information on distances and a recommendation for the Bodensteiner cliff circular route.

The fitness trail is in a wonderful location and runs in a circuit across the forest with relatively easy up and down stretches. In November weather, however, you should not wear slippery shoes, it slips quite a bit. Then once you find the first station (which gave me some trouble) it's easy to follow the trail. Be careful, sometimes mountain bikers shoot past here at high speed, so be careful when leaving the hut. 😮
