The Felsenkeller near Fischbach near Nuremberg is a rock cellar carved into the sandstone. It is located in the unincorporated area of Fischbach in the central Franconian district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria. Today's basement originally served as a quarry. It was then expanded into a rock cellar for storing ice from the neighboring Flach- and Gauchsweiher (now called Vogelherdsweiher).[4] Later it was used to store potatoes and the surrounding area as a cow pasture.
