The Felsenkeller Festival has been taking place in mid-June for several years. The first festival took place on the then national holiday, June 17, 1988.
Since 1994, the citizens' association has held another festival with the annual forest Christmas.

The Felsenkeller near Fischbach near Nuremberg is a rock cellar carved into the sandstone. It is located in the unincorporated area of Fischbach in the central Franconian district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria.

Today's basement originally served as a quarry. It was then expanded into a rock cellar for storing ice from the neighboring Flach- and Gauchsweiher (now called Vogelherdsweiher).[4] Later it was used to store potatoes and the surrounding area as a cow pasture. The area around the cellar was initially used as a quarry. The stone blocks obtained were also used for the Neptune Fountain in Nuremberg. For many years, the area became overgrown and was used as an adventure playground. After the refurbishment, the cellar is now used for the event of fewer parties.

The cellar was mentioned as a quarry as early as 1662. Around 1665 it was converted into a rock cellar. The basement and the grounds were renovated in 1988 by the Bürgerverein Nürnberg Südost e.V. and have been used as an event venue ever since.
