Beautiful natural swimming lake directly on the new Schillingsfürst-Dombühl bike path. Free admission, changing rooms and restrooms available. Wonderfully soft water for those who enjoy chlorine-free swimming. Open from Whitsun to mid-September with temperatures from 20 degrees Celsius. There's also a small kiosk, run voluntarily by members of the Fischhausbad Friends Association.

Beautiful natural swimming lake Open from Pentecost to mid-September with temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius. Directly on the new bike path from Schillingsfürst to Dombühl and just 100 meters from the year-round campsite. Pleasant spot - new trees will replace the felled ones for more shade. Changing rooms and restrooms available!

Many ponds are in slight depressions. They are fed by small streams from the fields. Too much nitrogen then enters the water with the water. This leads to a lot of algae forming and the water turns green. Swimming is no longer allowed there. The ponds are then only used as fire ponds. This body of water is not in a depression and therefore does not have any algae forming. The body of water is privately owned and fenced off for legal reasons (liability, insurance, etc.).

Really nice place. It's definitely worth taking a trip there

Very close to nature. Admission against donation. near Kommot, the D9 cycle path will still run along here in summer 2023. On site, however, it will probably be switched to a different route. But you have to cross the watershed one way or another. Then decide according to the weather and the desire to swim!

Very nice and well-kept pond area

The small and pretty town is a little before Schillingsfürst coming from Feuchtwangen directly on the Franconian Water and Sulzach Cycle Path. Nearby is the Sulz monastery, which is also well known. There is a nice climb coming from Schillingsfürst and of course a descent when driving there. A small garden restaurant is also available, so that nothing stands in the way of a snack. Beautifully situated and surrounded by nothing but nature, the Wörnitz is not far away either, everything is great! Rather, there is nothing to report about this 😇
