Every time I walk up to Christenberg, I look at the reflection of the Christenberg church in the mirror pond. It is simply beautiful to look at in any weather.

The reflection of St. Martin's Church in the mirror pond is always a highlight on the hike to Christenberg from Münchhausen. Otto Ubbelohde found this pond and its reflection so beautiful that he used it as a model for the illustration of the fairy tale "Iron Hans". Many years ago I once read the fairy tale to a hiking group at this spot.

The "Old Botanical Garden" is a gem in the north of Marburg. It is a place where everyone feels at home, especially during the warmer months: for the ducks that frolic in or near the water and the people who enjoy the sun or the shade and the peace on the lawn or the many benches. And for all the other creatures. I always love being there at any time of year.

At the parking lot at the Seegerteichhütte there is a "shoe washing area" - a nice idea for a small access to the nearby stream.

A beautiful lake, a good parking and starting point for hikes that we won't soon forget: early in the morning the bass booms from the huge JBL Bluetooth boxes at the Seegerteichhütte. Three people clean up the leftovers from the night's party and ask us to help with the leftover cool Veltins!!! The start of a hike has never been so difficult for me. Rosenthal people are simply hospitable.

A nice spot to relax

French meadows provide a habitat for many animal species and are under nature protection. In summer the purest frog concert. A very nice place but the only thing missing is a seat, which is a shame.

The flora here is a real splendour, especially in summer. Clear recommendation!
