A little above the remains of the tracks was once a settlement called Bartenhausen. Today, a memorial stone stands there.

The Paper Mill! Originally equipped with two grinding mills and one beating mill, the "New Mill" on the Wohra River, first mentioned in the 17th century, was converted into a paper mill in 1788. The building burned down in 1945. After reconstruction, production continued for another 21 years before the mill became the property of the town of Kirchhain and was temporarily used as a youth center. The graffiti on the exterior wall still bears witness to this. In 2002, the ADK (Association of German Artists) took over the use of the building for cultural and environmental events.
