Standing at 2,611 metres (8,566 ft) Naina Peak is the highest summit around the resort town of Nainital. The walk up is steep in places but is generally easy going and relatively short. Once you reach the summit, you are treated to a breathtaking view over the town and Naina Lake.

Ask locals for direction, you can get chai and maggi at the top

Possible to do alone but not recommended for beginners. Some experience with hiking and climbing is recommended. Safe hiking! :)

A highlight is actually getting up from the frozen tent on a cold but clear morning at 4 o'clock and climbing the Dzongri Top for about 45 minutes. In about 4190 m altitude you have a fantastic panoramic view, the complete Kanchenjunga range, Kabru, Pandim, Rothang ... very cool.
