From the parking lot, we first walked through a forest and then along the turquoise-blue Mrtvica River. The path led through an enchanted forest with mosses and lichens hanging from the trees. This is also where the Gate of Wishes is located. The path continued with stunning views into the canyon. At the end was the most exciting section: A 200-meter-long rock tunnel had been blasted into the rock face by Yugoslav soldiers. So...it's definitely worth it 👍

You can't see the Gate of Desires directly from the path. Follow the sign down; it's not far; it's worth it.

At this point you can look into the canyon from the bridge; this gorge is simply gigantic.

The absolute highlight of the tour. A 2-3 meter wide path was cut into the rock over several hundred meters. Then there is a super nice bathing area. It's definitely worth going this far.

Expect it to take 4 hours to get to the best sites.. Don't worry about going through someone property..

Here is a piece of path that goes steeply down the mountain. Unsuitable for older people. Very slippery in bad weather, there is little around it to hold on to. I had poles highly recommended.

At the beginning it's a steep climb. After a short distance you could see the Durmitor National Park. A great view here too.
