Have you heard that Centenary Hut is a ruin? Forget it! 😉 You will be pleasantly surprised, the hut is completely renovated, including the roof. So even if it rains, you won't get wet. 🌧️ Although we found some trash inside, please pack it up and take it with you! We hope this situation improves. ♻️ Otherwise, you can sleep there comfortably. All you need is a sleeping mat and a sleeping bag. 😴 Centenary Hut is a great place to relax. I definitely recommend stopping here and refueling before climbing Mafadi! 💪 Super tip: There is a spring with water a short distance from the hut and a well-trodden path leads to it. 💧

It was a hard hike

From the entrance of the park you continue to the camp reception. Here you can park the car and rent a mountain bike to cycle through the park. They are not great bikes, but they are fun to do! Cost per hour 150 rand. (Approx. €7.50) per person. You will encounter various animals: wildebeest, crocodiles, turtles, kingfishers, zebras and various types of deer.

The old Overseers cottage can be booked for overnight stays. It is fully furnished and equipped . Food and drinks are transported to the cottage. Your booking includes a permit to hike through Orange Kloof

Pretoriuskop lies tucked away between the hills before heading south in Kruger Park. It’s easily accessible from Numbi Gate, only 7km and has not only Rondavels but also small huts, for those who don’t wish to camp. The swimming pool has been build into a rock formation, which are frequently seen in this vicinity. There are two large dams near Pretoriuskop Rest Camp. Shitave and Transport Dam.
