The marked connecting path from Falkenstein Castle ruins along the rocks directly east does not exist. Caution: Danger of falling! You must descend from the ruins back into the Engenbach Valley.

The castle ruins of Neu-Tannegg. Moat, a palace wall, the castle plateau, the Zwinger or outer bailey area with wall remains above the Wutach gorge. Easily accessible from Boll.

Accessible, for example, via a short, steep detour from the Bregtalweg. The castle was built in the mid-14th century by the noble Fürstenberg family and destroyed in the Peasants' War of 1525. Following the small path down past the wooden sign, you reach a plateau with a flag (at least in the summer months) and a bench with a lovely view over the valley.

The castle was first mentioned in documents in 1079. The relatively extensive area is not secured. Enter the ruins at your own risk! The center of the castle is located on a hill surrounded by a deep moat. There is still an impressive wall at the top. Crashed and fallen trees are lying everywhere. But if you like castles and forests, you're in good hands here. Below the remains of the wall in the middle you have a wonderful view towards the Höllental entrance.
