Stunning Duck Pond in the equally beautiful (and very sleepy) village of Alderton. The ducks have nesting boxes & are free to come & go as they please. You can't go "in." As such, there's a fence around the pond & nest boxes, but it was lush to watch the array of ducks for a while!!

Picturesque Cotswold village built around the church of St Andrew. There is a pretty village pond and a pub.

Nice relaxing place to stop before either the short sharp climb into Cherington or (the other way) a long slow ride up to Hampton Fields.

Luxury duck residence! Nice spot to stop and enjoy a snack in the sun.

A delightful footpath through the valley to the lakes. Gets a little boggy around the lakes, but nothing too bad.

The Cotswold Water Park is the UK’s largest marl lake system. Covering an area of 40 square miles, it boasts more than 150 lakes set across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and West Oxfordshire. Many of the lakes and areas have been designated as nature reserves and are home to myriad wildlife. As the park covers a large area, it is free to enter.
