Not exactly beautiful, but if you're already pedalling up here, you'll naturally want to stand at the 'top of Eltenberg' - even if it's only 82 m.

From the Hulzenberg lookout tower you have an amazing view of the area. The tower itself is 21 meters high, but once you are at the top you are almost 100 meters above NAP.

The Rijsberg is a hill in Beek that is 70 meters above NAP. According to the vernacular, a funeral pyre used to be erected here for the execution of people sentenced to death by fire. "Rice" is an old word for faggots and may be a reference to a fire pit. De Rijsberg is a plot of 50 hectares of forest and came into the hands of Count Van den Bergh in 1642.

The old fire watchtower was demolished in January 2023 and the area leveled - but the rest area is still there.
