Bodenstein Castle, located above Wintzingerode, has a history dating back around 1,000 years. Well-preserved and restored, it is one of the jewels of the Eichsfeld region. The forest surrounding the castle offers picturesque hiking trails.

Even with an e-bike you can go uphill quite well :)

To stalk, you can first drive up from Kreuzebra to the castle and watch the 17% climb as a descent to Beuren. From Beuren upwards it is definitely a nice challenge. Whatever the case: the castle is definitely worth it. 🍰☕️🌭🍻
