Worth a stop not only when it rains: Refuge "Pierre des Trois Bans"

This inn is located at an altitude of 950 meters in the middle of the Vosges mountains and offers, from its terrace, a magnificent view of the valleys. You will find all types of beds ranging from dormitories to private rooms. Their table d'hôtes should also bring you comfort after a good day of walking.

Friends of Nature: This house looks neither used nor abandoned. Anyone who has made it this far from the Auberge du Haycot is already halfway to the Petit Brézouard or Grand Brézouard. Beautiful views included. Please wear closed shoes!

Very beautifully located typical hiking refuge with double rooms and dormitories right on the GR5. With a view of the Kaiserstuhl and the Black Forest. The double rooms are very new and inviting. Toilets and showers are accessible via the hallway. Everything is very clean and very friendly. A dream. TEL: +33 3 89 47 20 29

Above the hut it is much nicer to walk on the ridge path than on the GR532. This is a great short alternative to the main path with a great view and picnic area. The path to the ridge branches off directly at the hut. There is a table and benches on the ground floor, and there is space for several hikers to spend the night in the attic when the weather is bad.

Please also note the slightly off-the-beaten-track source. It is only about 5-10 minutes away. You can get to the source via the hiking trail with the red triangle. First it goes down on a forest road, then left on a narrow path into the forest. Then right off to the source. See picture with red triangle.
