Coming from the Schlossberg, it is possible to join the Jägerweg, which leads from here in both directions for kilometres as a mostly flat, very beautiful hiking trail through the Schönbuch Nature Park.

SUPER trail, a few drops, stones, roots are the obstacles. Easily challenging and very good for practice. I can only recommend him. For me the Stuttgart Trails is #16.

The descent is quite steep and can be quite slippery after rain.

2024.09: The trail is currently in good condition (fairly dry) and is still a lot of fun. However, it has seen better days and could use some maintenance. In some places further down it is a bit washed out.

The Jägerweg Trail is one of many official mountain bike trails in the Schönbuch Nature Park. This route promises pure driving pleasure and should not be missed.

@ysewq: That's right, I was stopped by one of the security patrols with a dog in 2020 and expelled from the premises! Lucky again! Otherwise it can get expensive! It's a shame, but that was to be expected. It has always been a military training area, American sovereign territory and was therefore already forbidden to the public beforehand.
