Very steep from the south and in the upper part also gravel for a short time. No traffic, great views and a restaurant at the top of the pass. A real highlight!

Sardona lace comes from Europe. Below the notch are much younger rock layers from Africa. The other way around than in Zermatt. The tip of the Matterhorn comes from Africa. Even though the two places are not too far apart. Fascinating.

Martin's hole is in the dent between the last two points on the right of the picture. Unfortunately, you cannot see through the hole in this line of alignment. It's much easier to see from Elm's side. It reminds me of the Pointe Percée in the Chaîne des Aravis on the way from Geneva to Chamonix.
