Friedland Castle, Niederlausitz was built in the 13th century as a moated castle with an almost square floor plan and a double ring of walls. First mentioned in documents in 1336, it was initially pledged to the Order of St. John in 1518, like the town of Friedland and the Lordship of Friedland, to whom it was finally sold in 1533. Krügersdorf Castle is located in Beeskow, Brandenburg and is often referred to as a manor house. It was built in 1539 by the Lords of Steinkeller. In 1823 the manor house was destroyed by fire. Three servants were killed. The von Steinkeller family remained in possession of the property until 1845, when it was sold to Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig Lehmann.
