River bathing facility in Spreepark Beeskow The river bathing facility in Spreepark Beeskow offers its bathers a spacious bathing area (new facility since June 1st, 2019). There is a snack bar, a giant slide, a boat rental, a children's playground and various sports facilities on site. About 100 meters from the bathing facility, there is a mini golf course and a low rope climbing garden for children, which complement the offer.

Beeskow was built at the point where the long-distance route from Frankfurt (Oder) to Leipzig crosses the Spree. The city founders and first city lords were the Knights of Strele in the 13th century. The city was laid out according to plan under the protection of the castle, which was first mentioned in 1316. The castle and city wall have largely been preserved. Since 1375 there was evidence of a leprosy in Beeskow “in front of the Fürstenwalder Tor” that was dedicated to St. Nicholas. The associated chapel was rebuilt in 1486.

Groß Rietz Castle is one of the most important rural aristocratic residences in Brandenburg. Most of the baroque palaces in Brandenburg were built in the Frederick period. The early building, rare for Brandenburg, is one of the outstanding buildings in the Brandenburg cultural landscape. Today the castle is owned by the Brandenburg Castle Society and is rented out privately. The castle can only be viewed from the outside.
