Not recommended. The climb is steep, with no view of the waterfall or cascades. About 100 meters of stairs up and down are a real grind, with no view of the waterfall; you can only hear it.

The Schwarzenbach rises at the Weißhorn and flows on the outskirts of Auer into the Etsch. For a long time it was a danger to Auer because floods occurred again and again. The waterfall in the Schwarzenbachklamm is very beautiful.

The Schwarzenbach has its source at the 2439 m high Schwarzhorn and, with a few changes of direction, flows west towards the Adige Valley. The catchment area of the Schwarzenbach consists primarily of porphyry rock from the Adige volcanic group. On the middle course, its most important tributary, the Bletterbach, which has its source on the Weißhorn, runs into it from the right. Below the village of Holen, the Holental valley, dug deep by the Schwarzenbach, has formed into a gorge with numerous waterfalls (also known as the Schwarzenbachschlucht), which rises near Auer in the Unterland. If you don't want to climb from below or from the lake, you can save your energy and start at the Rastenbachklamm car park. This is located above the Dominikus winery, St. Josef am See 39, I - 39052 Kaltern. ( dominikus.it/de/weingut ) If you visit the winery, you will find deck chairs, a great view and wines and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy. The Dominikus cellar is one of the many highlights of the tour. The tours take place every Tuesday and Friday at 5 p.m. from Easter to the end of August. From September, tours are only available by short-term arrangement due to the grape harvest. Tour duration approx. 2 hours. The tour is only possible with prior registration and confirmation of the appointment from us. The work in the vineyards and in the cellar is very labor-intensive, so cellar visits outside of tour times are not possible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We found the tour to be challenging and very beautiful. Third party safety and sturdy shoes are a great advantage. The large waterfall invites you to take a shower when it is very hot. But this is certainly not usual
