This segment was completed in 2025, starting from Thessaloniki and heading towards Alexandroupolis. At one point, the road is closed, but this is mainly for cars. If you carry your bike for 2 meters, it restarts without any problems. A magnificent road, quality gravel, and breathtaking views. There's a swimming and shower available at the end of the segment to freshen up, plus a kiosk for a Coke. Life is good. See you later. (At times, it's a bit adventurous, but if you have hybrid tires, it's fine, even if you have to push a little.)

Thanks to KALLINIKOS Bikes, I now have a bike without the bouncy function and less fear of gravel roads. Two new tires + spare tube, mounted right away. 👍❤️👍

I can only agree. Relaxed driving thanks to the wide shoulder and light traffic (Monday, early June). The only thing that's really in short supply here is shade.

The first pool of fresh water as we ascend. The most popular and easy to access, with lots of people and young kids.

I don't know for a racing bike, but it's easy to ride with a trekking bike, even with luggage; it's strenuous, but there are lots of beautiful views.
