Arachova is built on the southern slopes of Mount Parnassos, at an altitude of 950 meters. It was the seat of the municipality of the same name until the end of 2010, while with the implementation of the Kallikratis program it was incorporated into the new Municipality of Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra, of which it is a Municipal Unit.
