The northern part is difficult to follow, a tiny goat path with lots of brambles. So we move very slowly. It is preferable to have high shoes and trousers.

The vessel was built by Argo's, from whom it also took its name "ARGO". This Vessel was reconstructed from Volos Municipality under the supervision of the Institute "Navdomos".

I completed the route in March 2025, and as @hitselgazinga mentioned, the path had been seriously damaged by floods. Because of this, near the end—towards the top—it turns into a bit of a messy scramble. It's still doable, but it's no longer the easy walk it probably once was.

The village of Makrinitsa is idyllically situated on the hillside and has a great view of the city of Volos and the Pagasetic Gulf.

Fakistra has gained a few meters in depth as a beach after the devastating storms in September 2023, so there is more space for visitors. Really wonderful, spectacular bay. But no water on site (and no bar etc.).

The best place to stop is Apostolis. It has the best terrace right in the harbor and a fabulous kitchen.

Please do not visit this fabulous little place and keep it away from the crowds of tourists. It is too beautiful to be sacrificed to tourism.

The path ends after about 20 minutes. Heavy rain seems to have washed away the path here. Only partially accessible. As of July 2024
