Free parking for hikers. From here, a beautiful path leads to the Starzel Waterfall.

The hut has a wide canopy, so you can take shelter even in bad weather. Unfortunately, there's no bench.

The 🅿️ is unpaved and is occasionally used as a lumber yard. A good starting point for visiting the Starzel Waterfall. Walk towards Schlatt, then after about 300 meters, turn right over the tracks (watch out for ⚠️ railway traffic!). The Hohenzollern Way of St. James🐚 🥾from Hechingen to Meßkirch (75 km, 4 stages) passes by here; there's a bench with a shell stele.

Bürgle is a nature reserve (NSG number 4.144) in the area of the municipality of Jungingen in Baden-Württemberg. By decree of December 7, 1987, the Tübingen regional council declared the area a nature reserve. The nature reserve is located around one kilometer east of Jungingen in the Killertal and belongs to the natural area 094 - Middle Kuppenalb within the main natural unit 09-Swabian Alb. It is enclosed by the approximately 8746 hectare landscape protection area no. 4.17.048 Upper Starzeltal and Zollerberg and is also part of the approximately 1225 hectare FFH area no. 7620311 Reichenbach and Killertal between Hechingen and Burladingen. It is also located in the 43031 hectare bird sanctuary no. 7820441 Southwest Alb and Upper Danube Valley. The Bürgle is a large slide block from an old, larger landslide. It consists of a layered package of limestones from the Well-Stratified Limestone Formation (ox2, formerly White Jura Beta), which has slid over soft clay and marlstones from the Impressamergel Formation (ox1, formerly White Jura Alpha) and now lies on higher Middle Jurassic (Ornatenton Formation, cl, formerly Brown Jura Zeta). The horizontal offset of the block (stratigraphic lower limit) compared to the rocks from which it broke off is around 90 meters.
