Loch Lomond Road has some serious climbs : you've reached its apex at Edie's resort, an old fashioned litter of wooden cabins under tall pine forest

Panoramic picnic overlook on the hill in the middle of the little town, with a view of all the activities below but somehow undisturbed and without evening hikers. The gravel trail on the southeast side is gradual climb ok for biking, the paved descent to the northwest is too steep to climb up

The hike up from Whispering Pines is on an old access road, but don't let that fool you, this isn't an easy hike. Nature has done a good job taking over much of the old road and narrowed it down quite a bit. You also might need to climb over a few downed trees on your way to the summit but it's a fun hike.

At just under 3,200 feet, Brushy Sky High is the tallest peak within the Cache Creek Wilderness. The trail to the summit is a gradual climb up a ridge that gives you excellent views over the surrounding hills. Keep in mind that this trail isn't very busy so you'll likely see few, if any, other hikers and some spots can get overgrown at times.

Great climb with awesome views. Road is rough and beats you up on the way up and down. Saw a brown bear with two cubs.

The views from Buckingham Peak are definitely worth the hike. You can see Clear Lake and the surrounding summits from this point. Bring your trekking poles!

Elk Mountain is a more than 4000 feet high and offers a fantastic view over Clear Lake and Middle Creek Valley.

This summit, located at 4,299 feet, is the highest point of Mount Konocti. Here you can enjoy an amazing panoramic view over Clear Lake.
