The Farny estate in Kißlegg (Allgäu) looks back on an almost 1000-year-old tradition of hospitality and is closely linked to the Edelweiss Brewery Farny. Founded in 1833 by Konrad Kugel, the estate passed to the Farny family in 1856. In 1924, Oskar Farny invented Kristallweizen (crystal wheat beer) there. Today it is a 4-star hotel with a brewery restaurant, run by the non-profit Oskar and Elisabeth Farny Foundation.

The Allgäu Gourmet Manufactory in Leutkirch-Urlau is an experience center for regional craftsmanship and culinary delights located in a historic brewery. Visitors can expect a village shop and café ("Heimat & Genuss"), a coffee roastery ("Die Rösterin"), the Urlau Gourmet Brewery, the Red Beard Gin Manufactory, and a library with over 12,000 antiquarian books. Guided tours and events offer fascinating insights. It is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the café open until 5:30 p.m. Admission is €3; children and teenagers up to 17 are free.

The station building dates back to 1902 and has been renovated. Former freight tracks and a siding for a cellulose factory have been removed. Currently, two tracks are in operation, with trains heading towards Hergatz - Lindau and Kißlegg - Memmingen.
