Towards the end of the 18th century, the lords of the castle changed several times. In 1808 Franz Anton Maria Graf Bussy-Mignot acquired Neutenstein. In 1865 the castle passed to Count Arthur Andreas Segur-Cabanac through marriage. In 1909 Leo Graf Segur-Cabanac was the owner of the estate. Today it belongs to the architect Dipl. Ing. Johannes Baar von Baarenfels. The building was restored from 1971.

Between Hendelgraben and Stössing we orientate ourselves towards Gasthof Hegerberg. After about 1.9 km we drive through the first of four hairpin bends. After a total of 3.2 km we meet the south-west driveway and drive the last 400 meters up to the Hegerberg shelter. Hardly any traffic. Wonderful landscape.
