It is a nice pub with a big beer garden that has a place to lock your bikes up. Good selection of beers and a relaxed atmosphere.

The walk is varied (woods and fields and up and down) with some stunning sights plenty of wildlife a tea shop a shop and a few pubs Great way to spend 2 to 2.5 hours

Long gravelly downhill from Preston village into Charlton & Hitchin. Great fun, despite the name. 💀

Minsden Chapel is a Grade II-listed scheduled ancient monument that was originally built in the 14th century. It fell into disrepair during the 17th century and has remained a mere shell of its former self ever since. The chapel has many associations with paranormal activity and is said to be haunted.

The centre of Old Knebworth - a lovely place to stop. Views of the house and war memorial, and there's a decent pub also.

normal road up side of Strathmore Arms then turns into a gravel track a bit of a muddy section then tarmac again. Nice little loop.
