The Hölderlin Monument of 1873 On the grounds of the former monastery, nestled within a small garden near the Zaber River, stands a Hölderlin memorial. The centerpiece of the monument is a bronzed zinc relief of the poet's bust, created in 1873 by the renowned Stuttgart art foundryman Wilhelm Pelargus. Originally, the relief was mounted above the entrance to the monastery steward's house, which stood on the site of the present-day senior citizens' center until 1918 and was long considered Hölderlin's birthplace. The monument can be reached by driving past the monastery courtyard towards the roundabout.

It is the only remaining gatehouse of the medieval village fortifications. The remaining stone hinges give an idea of how mighty the gate was. Until the middle of this century, the gate tower was used as a dwelling.

Steep vineyard stairs provide a direct connection from the Neckar up to the viewing point with a view of the Neckar loop.
