The historic spa of Baños de Benasque was active from the beginning of the 16th century until 2019, when it was permanently closed. The use of the water from these baths has been documented since 1522, when the Benasque apothecary Francisco Frigoiti administered them. In 1801 the first building was built, which was successively improved and expanded over time, including a reconstruction after the Spanish Civil War, when the building was burned.
