The Germanic settlement area near Klein Köris is one of the most important and best-documented excavations of early historical settlement east of the Elbe River in Germany. The former Germanic village existed from the 2nd to 5th centuries AD and consisted of single-story stable houses, the living areas of which were equipped with hearths and clay floors. Spinning, weaving, and other craft activities were carried out in pit houses sunk into the ground. The open-air museum showcases the lifestyles of the Germanic tribes and Romans. A beautiful place for a quiet walk along the shore of the Klein Köriser See. The paths lead through dense forest and there are few to no visitors, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. At first glance, the bathing area may seem inconspicuous - there is no classic beach or lawn. Instead, you will find natural sections of the shore that are particularly popular with hikers who appreciate the silence and nature. The swampy forest floor and the shady trees make this section ideal for walks in summer. For bathers who are not afraid of a little cold or muddy ground, there are sure to be a few places to jump into the water. For hikers, however, this place is a quiet pearl on the edge of the lake that is worth a visit.

A small village pond, surrounded by bushes, bushes and trees, with seating hidden in between, goldfish swim in it. We do not miss the opportunity and sit down to eat the food.

The bathing area with a mini sandy beach and several benches is designated as a green area and animals are not allowed. Approximately 100 m further at the fork to the Chausseestraße there is an official bathing area for animals. There are also several benches for resting and relaxing.
