Cycling without a navigation system is no problem

You'll encounter a few anglers. If you want shade, head there in the afternoon. That's when the trees provide shade. There's plenty of sun in the morning.

The former Malz lock is located at kilometer 35.05 of the Malzer Canal (HOW), occasionally also called the Malzer Canal (West). Malz is a district of the German district town of Oranienburg in the German state of Brandenburg.

Anyone who wants to look at boats

The Grabowsee, located in the middle of the forest between Schmachtenhagen and Friedrichsthal, was considered an insider tip among the numerous bodies of water in Brandenburg. This could be because the bathing area is difficult to reach by car. The area around the small bathing area was extensively renovated in 2021. Heavy rain and erosion had caused the beach area to be repeatedly washed out and roots to be exposed. In order to protect the shore from further slipping, so-called crossbars were built on the edge of the beach area, which are intended to give the embankment more support in the future. The terraced area was then filled with new sand. In addition, the entry area on the shore was renovated and parking spaces for bicycles were created.
