The house was restored with great attention to detail by Jürgen Meisner. At the barn further up (towards Kälberfeld), you can admire some old finds from earlier times.

Quaint and natural, with tall grass, we approach the mountain inn on the Grosser Hörselberg. It was built on behalf of the Thuringian Forest Association between 1889 and 1890. We are now at an altitude of 484 meters. The wide and breathtaking view across the valley to the Grosser Inselsberg and the Wartburg, with cumulus clouds above, is a moment we take with us.
