A ride on the cable car is definitely worth it. The views of the Arkansas River and the gorge are unique.

At 291 meters above the river, the bridge was the highest suspension bridge in the world from its completion until 2001.

Beautiful, easy and flat walk along the Arkansas River. The trail starts in downtown Cañon City, but has peaceful areas to chill, with some benches and picnic tables.

Following Royal Gorge Canyon Trail you will get to Le View point, with amazing views of the Rim Gorge and Arizona River. A lovely little loop hike with views of the Arkansas Gorge and Bridge. You can drive up, or climb the Tunnel Drive Trail from Canon City in fall through spring.

A beautiful trail above the Arkansas River with views of the surrounding canyon. It leads through several tunnels. Unfortunately we could not continue the trail because it is closed in early summer due to the offspring of protected animals. But even the short section is worth it.
