Westcliff Gardens are a blend of formal and informal planted garden, path and grass on the hillside above the seafront. There are wonderful views over the Thames channel towards the Isle of Sheppey and out to sea.

Cycle lane and lots of shops. Watch out for pedestrians though!

The seafront in Southend is a wonderful place for a ride. The road is flat and has a designated lane for cyclists, and the views out to the water are superb. There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments along the way.

lovely place to stop and grab some sunshine and lookout over the channel, with views out to the pier.

There is a staircase running parallel 😉.

A mixture of Woodland pathways and trails make running through Belfairs Nature Reserve an enjoyable experience. A significant portion of these woods are classed as 'ancient woodland,' with some stretches dating back over a millennium, representing the oldest documented woodlands in Essex. Within this ancient woodland, the historical landscape elements thrive alongside a diverse array of plant and animal life, including several nationally endangered species.
