The landscaped staircase is bordered by columnar oak trees and oriented towards the edge of the Swabian Alps.

The Hofer Mill was built in 1566. It was one of many mills in the Körsch Valley. The well in front of the mill, constructed in 1822, initially served as a hatchery for trout farming and later as a watering trough for horses.

The landscaped staircase in Scharnhäuser Park is not only large in its dimensions, measuring 1050m in length and 40m in width, but also, with its 48 terraced sections, it stores rainwater and channels it into the surrounding streams. Furthermore, this large open space makes the residential area much more spacious and livable.

A beautiful, wide avenue on a paved path that runs straight through the park.

Crown Prince Wilhelm, interested in horses and agriculture from his youth, found ideal conditions for his breeding plans at his summer residence in Scharnhausen in 1810. He acquired the Hof Mill, dating from 1566, located in the immediate vicinity of his castle. At the beginning of the 19th century, the "Hofer Mill" became part of the royal private stud farm Scharnhausen-Weil. The well, built in 1822, initially served as an incubator for trout breeding and later as a horse trough.

A natural monument, a volcanic vent with a diameter of approximately 60 meters. It is the northernmost outpost of the Urach-Kirchheim volcanic region in the Alb foothills. Several information panels explain the geological context.
