The two lakes were once intended as swimming lakes. In winter, during periods of prolonged frost, you can even ice skate. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible thanks to global warming.

UMoSSA - stands for Urwelt Mosaic Sculpture Trail Swabian Alb - at Eglensee on the left is the wave of the primeval sea and on the right is the primeval fish, guardian of ancient knowledge.

The small town, the nature, and the rock are worth seeing and impressive. A trip here is worthwhile.

The trail begins after the forest cemetery in Gerstetten. After about 400 meters in the forest, turn left onto the trail. Be careful after a few meters there are two tree trunks lying across the trail. Once you cross a forest path, you continue for a few hundred meters through the forest.
