The town hall in Allstedt is an architectural monument in the Mansfeld-Südharz district in Saxony-Anhalt. Some towns in southern Saxony-Anhalt have been elevated to town status more than once. This applies not only to Sandersleben and Gerbstedt, but also to Allstedt. The town of Allstedt is already mentioned in a fiefdom of Elector Frederick the Quarrelsome in 1425. In 1510, however, Allstedt was again elevated to town status by Elector Frederick the Wise and given the corresponding privileges (lower jurisdiction, self-government, market privileges, brewing rights). Shortly afterwards, around 1510, it received a town wall and introduced its own town seal. The town hall was obviously built in the 15th century, however, as there is also a portal on the ground floor dated 1472. This late Gothic building was later rebuilt several times, so that its appearance today is strongly influenced by the Renaissance. The Renaissance gable on the south side of the building dates from such a 16th century remodeling. The building inscription 1609 in the meeting room confirms another remodeling.
