Kavalierhaus Dobbin

Here, on the eastern shore of the Krakower Obersee nature reserve, there was a Slavic settlement, presumably including a small fortification or castle. This is where Alt Dobbin, the origin of the present-day village, was located. Here, you're very close to the nature reserve and can, for example, observe greylag geese up close.

On the Berlin-Copenhagen cycle path east of Lake Krakow near the small town of Neu Dobbin, the observation tower at the former milking parlor invites you to linger. The observation tower "Paradiesgartenblick am alten Melkstand" offers fascinating views of the Krakow lake landscape and is located between the towns of Neu Zietlitz and Neu Dobbin. In 2010, Wilfried Baldermann, mayor of Dobbin-Linstow, inaugurated the observation tower with its wonderful view of Lake Krakow and the landscape. The observation platform owes its nickname "Am alten Melkstand" to the fact that cows were still milked here until 1969.
