They are inland waters, and are the opposite of flowing waters. Oceans and seas are not still waters. The wall chamber grave of Remlingen is an important collective grave from the Middle Neolithic (approx. 3000 years BC) on the Hohberg near Remlingen, a district of the municipality of Remlingen-Semmenstedt in the district of Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony. The Mauerkammergrab was discovered by the Remlinger local home warden Norbert Koch in 1981 during a field inspection, when he noticed a special concentration of stones. It was not until 1997 that a sondage was carried out by employees of the former Braunschweig district government, which proved the existence of the wall chamber grave. Comparable Neolithic sites are known primarily from Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. This type of grave could be found for the first time in the northern Harz foothills of Lower Saxony.
