The estate manager's house in Schwandt is part of the historic estate, which was first documented in 1273. While the original manor house was razed to the ground in the 1970s, leaving only a few remnants of the walls, the stables and the smithy remain as part of the estate. The estate belonged to the von Voss family until 1752, before passing to the von Schlieffen family. The last owner of the estate was Lieutenant General Karl Count Schlieffen, whose son, Otto Count von Schlieffen, took over as lord of the manor in 1897.

The chapel and cemetery on the outskirts of the village date back to the mid-19th century and initially served as a burial site. Later, it was also used for church services. The ensemble includes a bell from the time the chapel was built, housed in a renovated belfry.

It's great that there are still such well-preserved and maintained giant trees.
