The former Dargun District Office, also known as the Old Town Hall, dates back to the 19th century, more precisely to 1865. The two-story, historicist-style building with clinker brickwork, a three-story tower, a southeastern apse, and a mezzanine floor, was built in the Wilhelminian period. It is a listed building and features sandstone surrounds on the corners and window reveals, as well as a striking corbelled cornice. The coat of arms of the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Friedrich Franz III, is displayed above the portal.

In the legends of Dargun, it is said that a hideous dragon once wreaked havoc in the monastery lake, which was then still a large swamp, and that its favorite food was virgins.

The baroque tea pavilion in the castle park of , which was built in the 17th century, is now a popular place for civil weddings and is used by the town of Dargun.

The Dargun Monastery Shop offers regional specialties from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, as well as handmade goods, natural products, gift items, delicatessen, spirits, liqueurs, herbal liqueurs, sweets, ceramics, jewelry, soaps, cosmetics, and literature. The shop is open Monday to Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Uns lütt Museum Dargun e.V. offers insights into rural life and regional development over the past 50 years, with a focus on historical agricultural and household appliances. Visitors appreciate the vivid, partially interactive exhibition, which is particularly valuable for young people as a glimpse into the past.

The well-preserved ruins of the medieval monastery church are a significant example of brick Gothic architecture and are now used for cultural events. The adjacent gatehouse originally served as the entrance to the monastery and is now part of the complex, which serves as a cultural and tourist center.

Today used as an outpost of the Dargun registry office.
