The railway stop in Breese am Seißelberge was first mentioned in August 1869 in an explanatory report on the preparatory work for the Wittenberge-Buchholz branch line. At that time, only one stop was planned—the only one; all other access points were railway stations. When construction of the line was already well underway and the opening to Hitzacker in October 1873 was imminent, the Berlin-Hamburg Railway prepared initial designs for the station. From the outset, the station was intended to accommodate imperial hunting parties. A good place for a rest

Often dried out in summer, but a picturesque spot after a lot of rain
