ヴィッテンベルゲの学校の歴史は、1895年にレアルシューレが開校したことから始まります。その後、この学校はレアルギムナジウムとして、また東ドイツ時代には拡張中等学校（EOS）として運営されました。1992年からは、この学校は再びギムナジウムとして活動しています。この学校は科学分野に特化したプロフィールを持っています。生徒たちは、自由時間に学際的なプロジェクトに取り組み、「Jugend forscht」のようなコンテストに参加する機会があります。毎年開催される「科学の日」には、ブランデンブルク州、ベルリン、メクレンブルク＝フォアポンメルン州の大学の講師が科学的なテーマで講演を行います。

The Marie Curie Gymnasium in Wittenberge looks back on a long history. Founded in 1895 as a private boys' secondary school, it developed over the years into a significant educational institution in the region. Established as a private boys' school in 1895, it was transferred to municipal ownership in 1898. The main building (Building 1) was constructed between 1899 and 1900 according to plans by Wittenberge's city architect, Friede Everhard Bruns. In 1900, the school moved into its newly constructed building on Sandfurttrift, designed in the Neo-Gothic style with exposed brick facades. Today, the Gymnasium places a strong emphasis on science subjects and has been a member of the Association of Mathematical and Scientific Excellence Centers at Schools (MINT-EC) since 2000.

Clara Zetkin Park in Wittenberge is one of the city's central green spaces and serves as an important meeting place. Well-maintained paths, lawns, and a mix of mature trees invite visitors to enjoy leisure activities and relax. Named after the politician and women's rights activist Clara Zetkin, the park reflects Wittenberge's socio-historical significance. Today, the park seamlessly blends urban life with nature and is an integral part of the city's public space.

The Packhof district in Wittenberge lies between the city center, the train station, and the Elbe River, forming a link to the riverbank. Long characterized by vacancy and urban planning deficiencies, the district is now undergoing targeted development to enhance residential and commercial spaces and improve public areas. Through renovation measures, planning concepts, and citizen participation, the district aims to become an attractive address within the city.

The Old Main Customs Office in Wittenberge dates back to the 19th century and served to monitor the flow of goods across the Elbe River. After years of disuse, it was renovated and converted into modern apartments, while preserving its historical appearance. The building remains a testament to Wittenberge's economic importance in Elbe River trade.
