Named after Andrea Henkel, one of Germany's most successful biathletes, the "Andrea Henkel" Biathlon Center is a central training facility for the Großbreitenbach Ski Club and an important location for junior biathlon athletes in Thuringia. The facility offers modern training opportunities for young biathletes, including a roller ski track and an air rifle shooting range. The diverse altitude of the surrounding area creates ideal conditions for fitness training in both summer and winter.

Such a great resting place. There are even goldfish swimming in the pond.

The Reischeltal, better known as the Reuscheltal, is a 3.5-kilometer-long valley in the western part of the Thuringian Slate Mountains on the border with the Thuringian Forest in the southern Ilm district. The Reischelbach, a tributary of the Oelze, flows through the Reischeltal. The Reischetal stretches between the districts of Großbreitenbach, Altenfeld and Neustadt am Rennsteig in an arc around the Haube mountain, which is located south of the valley and is 811 m above sea level. To the north, the Reischelberg, which is 821 m above sea level, borders the valley. The southern part of the Reischeltal forms part of the natural border between the Thuringian Forest and the Thuringian Slate Mountains from the height of Totenweg to the entrance to the town of Altenfeld, where the valley runs into the Oelze basin. A tributary valley of the Reischeltal is the Vaterunsertal. The approximately 21 km long Pilzsteig nature trail begins at the Mondscheinwiese above the Reischeltal near Neustadt am Rennstg and then leads through part of the Reischeltal to Gehren.
