Historical center of Wincheringen

Dominant quarry stone building with slate roof. Proud double tower façade. A church probably existed as early as 1037. The new building in 1848/49 was built according to plans by the Mainz architect Rüppel, using the old tower, which was replaced in 1912 by a double tower façade in the west.

The castle in Wincheringen is a moated castle ruin from the 14th century. It is still considered a landmark of Wincheringen.

Very nice playground for small children and older children, as well as a basketball field. All devices in very good condition 👍😀

On a hill in Helfant you can see the landmark of the place, the so-called "Helfanter Dom". The church building dominates the townscape of the small village. An imposing church for such a small place.
