It's a beautiful hike with lovely views and not too difficult. There are plenty of places to rest and enjoy.

The Holnis peninsula is the largest peninsula on Schleswig-Holstein's Baltic Sea coast. It boasts a diverse landscape, with cliffs, beaches, salt marshes, and small forests in the Holnis Nature Reserve. The Kleine Noor (Little Noor) is a shallow coastal lake, where a beautiful hiking trail leads along reed beds and wetlands, home to many waterfowl.

Lake Roikier was formed in the 13th century from a moorland cleared by monks from Glücksburg. At that time, Glücksburg housed a Cistercian monastery, and the lake was probably used by the monks for water supply and fish farming.
